JFOODO Partners with Girlboss Media CEO,
Sophia Amoruso to Share
Workplace Mindfulness Tips
The Japan Food Product Overseas Promotion Center (JFOODO) continues to raise global awareness about the inherent mindful nature of Sado - the Japanese way of tea - with its Tea in the Moment initiative. Girlboss Media CEO, social media influencer and campaign spokesperson Sophia Amoruso brought the Japanese Green Tea wellness message to health/wellness, business and lifestyle reporters in NYC. Hailed by Forbes as one of the richest self-made women in the world, Sophia was able to use her experience leading others in the workplace to show how she prioritizes mindfulness and point to examples of the growing adoption of eastern mindful practices within western culture.
“This campaign resonated with me on a personal level because, as a busy professional and entrepreneur, I’ve learned just how important it is to be intentional, “explains Amoruso. “My days can get very hectic so I make it a point to find moments to re-center myself. About 3 p.m. every day, I get up from my desk, take a short walk and I drink a cup of Japanese Green Tea – Matcha is my preference. It helps to help improve my mood and reduce stress.”
The Tea in the Moment media day kicked off at the Good Housekeeping Wellness Lab at Hearst Media Tower where 45+ attendees joined to mingle with Sophia and sample a variety of Japanese Green Teas including Matcha, Gyrokuro and cold brew Sencha. The event was well-received earning strong praise from its participants.
“This is the perfect event to let me take a moment and pause during my busy day,” a Good Housekeeping editor reported.
Following the Hearst Media experience, the media day continued with a themed event hosted at Japan Society. Several reporters along with social media influencers gathered to hear Sophia share personal insight into her professional journey and newfound passion for creating a culture of mindfulness within her Girlboss organization – all while educating about the benefits of Japanese Green Tea. After Sophia’s remarks, attendees participated in a traditional Japanese Tea Ceremony presented by Samurai Tea Master, Yoshitsugu Nagano and enjoyed a variety of Japanese Green Tea refreshments.
